To be honest, I couldn't tell you...Hey Lauren!

To be honest, I couldn't tell you exactly how long it lasts, but it's definitely more of a short term fix. I think if you bake regularly, the bear would be a good solution. Since I only really use brown sugar a couple of times a year, I end up having to re-soak the bear. Since I wrote this post, I've gone back to storing brown sugar in a Ziploc bag & only keeping it in the jar during the holidays. The microwave option is a good tip though!Melissa Sabrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12536085498165169277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-49929656109069014.post-30233147593830374402016-06-13T13:28:13.495-04:002016-06-13T13:28:13.495-04:00Does the Brown Sugar Bear work? Like for a few mon...Does the Brown Sugar Bear work? Like for a few months? I saw on Pinterest that putting marshmallows in your brown sugar would keep it soft. It *helped* but did not solve the problem. It just stayed soft slightly longer, but not long enough.

And for anyone who doesn't know, if you need brown sugar that has gotten too solid. You can microwave it (I would try for 10 second intervals) to make it soft again. Don't microwave the same brown sugar too many times without using it though because then it gets burned and crispy and doesn't taste good anymore.
