|About Us|

We're husband + wife living in the suburbs of Atlanta, where we bought our first home in 2008.  We have been together for about 11 years now.  We have three children - Sami (4), Zain (19 months), & Laila (2 months).

When we first started this blog in 2012, we primarily posted about all of our home related projects - including DIY, organization, & home decor.  Since having kids, we've expanded our content to include some pregnancy, baby, & motherhood topics as well.

More about us:

Nader is Lebanese, but was actually born in Kuwait & his first language is Arabic.  He came to the States when he was 12 years old & is the youngest of 8 kids.  He has a B.S. in Business Management & has spent most of his career in the car business.

Mel is from originally from Wisconsin & moved to Georgia after high school.  She has a B.A. in Modern Language & Culture.  Currently, she's a SAHM.

  2. I love your bathroom shower tile! Can you tell me the manufacturer and style name? It's exactly what I've been looking for but have not been able to find anything in the stores

    1. Thanks Deb! We bought all the tile from Floor & Decor - on the receipt it's listed as "Travertine 6x12 Riviera Light Beige". Hope that helps!

  3. We came across your blog via good ole Google, and wow, very nicely presented and enjoyable blog you have here!!
In particular we read through your countertop reno transformation and we wish we stumbled across it earlier before we started our kitchen countertop reno!
May we ask how happy you are still with your Quartz countertop? We are about to purchase the LG Cirrus quartz but have been told very worrisome things about white quartz yellowing overtime and that you need to be very OCD about keeping it clean. Do you still enjoy your countertops with no regrets?

    1. Hi Kelly & thank you so much! We've had them for about 6 months now & have had zero issues. At times, we'll get blueberry/strawberry juice on the counter when we're making smoothies, but it usually comes right off with a wet towel. Worst case, we rub a little acetone on the mark & it comes right off. Also, we have not noticed any yellowing thus far. We are very happy with our quartz & would definitely recommend it! Hope that helps!

  4. Hi Melissa! I was wondering if y'all satisfied with your Imagio Baby by Westwood Designs Chatham 3-In-1 Convertible Crib? For the life of me, I cannot find a crib with which I'm in love and this is as close as I've come. Do you feel the wood is sturdy & durable? Do you find the crib to be too low to the ground? I'd appreciate any feedback you have - good & bad. Thanks & Happy Thanksgiving.

    1. Hi Emma! The crib we have is called the Ellery 3-in-1 Convertible Crib by Lolly and Me (I think they've redesigned it into a 4-in-1 now)...is that the crib you are referring to? If so, I am very happy with the crib so far! It definitely feels sturdy & well made - and it was super easy to assemble as well. Personally, I don't find it to be too low to the ground...then again, this is our first baby, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I like that it has two solid end panels as well. Overall, it's a great crib _ I don't have anything negative to say about it. If you have any other questions, please let me know! Thanks & Happy Thanksgiving to you & your famiy as well! :)

  5. I LOVE your thrift store office credenza. Would you mind me asking where you got the credenza? We're in the process of turning our dining room into my office and trying to find a bargain piece similar to yours to refinish. We live outside ATL as well... anyway you'd be willing to part with yours?! ;) Have to ask as it's stunning!

    1. Thank you Brooke!! :) Thanks for asking...but I'm not ready to part with it juuust yet lol! We got the credenza at a thrift store in Marietta - somewhere in the east Cobb area. I can't remember the name, but after looking at Google maps, I'm thinking it might have been Liberty Thrift Store? I would check the Offer Up app too! Hope that helps! I'd love to see what you find! :)

    1. Hi Yvonne,

The desk is from Pottery Barn. It is part of their Bedford collection. Our desk is actually the dark espresso brown color, but it looks like they make it in a black option now too! Hope that helps! :)
