  1. What paint/wall color did you use in your foyer, living-room and closet? In our new parsonage I will be doing some painting and love your colors.

  2. Hey Joy!

    Foyer: Creek Bend - Behr {I don't think they make this color anymore-or maybe they just changed the name. The numbers on the can are: 790F-4 }
Living Room: Wheat Bread - Behr
Coat Closet: Glidden - Smooth Stone

    Hope that helps :)

    1. Thank you! :)

All the boxes are from Ikea (Kassett series) & all the glass jars are from Hobby Lobby.

Did you end up ordering the curtains from their website? Which color did you go with?

    1. Thanks Kristina! We moved in almost 5 years ago & we have so much to do still - but your feedback gives us more motivation to keep going...It seems like by the time we get a room 80% done, our style has changed & we want something different - lol! Does that happen to you too? I love what you guys have done with your home too! HUGE transformations :)

  7. Hi! I love your blog:-) you inspire me so much! Where did you get your table set in your kitchen and mirrors thats in your living room??

    thanks!!!

  8. Thank you so much! That means a lot to us! :)

We got the table set from American Signature Furniture about 6 years ago. I checked their website to see if they still carry it, but I didn't see it listed.

The mirrors are from Home Goods - I bought them around the same time as the table. About 99.9% of the things in our house are from Home Goods - lol! I. Am. Obsessed. Nader thinks I have a problem....

    Thanks again!

  9. can you please tell me how you framed you mirror in your bathroom please? I have one of these big mirrors in my bathrooms and have been looking on how to frame them and have not been able to find out how to do this. thank you so much

    1. Sure! It was pretty easy - we bought some baseboard molding from Home Depot, cut the corners at a 45 degree angle, & then glued the molding right onto the mirror. We used a clear adhesive to attach the molding to the mirror & made sure it wasn't too close to the edge of the molding - because otherwise you can see the reflection of the adhesive in the mirror. Then we filled in the corner joints with wood putty because the fit was not quite perfect...and that was it!

The House of Smiths have a good 'how to' tutorial on their blog:
      http://www.thehouseofsmiths.com/2010/04/framed-mirror.html

We did ours a little bit different, but their way works great too! Hope this helps :)

    1. Thanks Sandee! That's awesome to hear!

You should most definitely add a home decor aspect to your blog! Since people love seeing how you create outfits, I'm sure they would also love to see how you put together your home (or approach home decor in general).

Thanks again & best of luck! :)

  11. Hi! Doing my bathroom over and want to use the tile you used for your shower (floor and wall) as well as the floor outside the shower. Do you have this info of what it is/where you got the tile? Thank you! PS- love your blog!

    1. Hi Dee! Thank you so much!

We purchased the tile for the shower several years ago @ Floor & Decor. I believe they are 6" x 12" Riviera Light Beige Travertine tiles. Here's the link: https://www.flooranddecor.com/travertine-stone/riviera-light-beige-travertine-tile-922100871.html#prefn1=size&prefv1=6in.+x+12in.&start=1

The shower floor tiles are also travertine that came in 12'x12' sheets. Here's the link:

Hope that helps & Good Luck! :)

  12. I absolutely love how you've turned pinterest inspiration and your own ideas into a reality. I wish I had the niche for it like you. As a new homeowner, tiny budget and awkward nuances that came along with it, your talent would help! I know it may be random to ask for your opinion, but I have a very random sliding glass door in my master bedroom that leads to the dining room, and I'm stuck on how to gain some privacy (and a place to escape to from the stressful life of raising two boys on my own ;)) Any tips would help!!! Thanks so much!

    1. Thank you Jessica! That's very sweet of you to say :) It sounds like your master bedroom was an addition? That is a tricky one with the sliding glass door! The simplest & cheapest route would obviously be some sort of curtains or panels. The IKEA KVARTAL track system gives you the option to do either:

      thttp://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/series/25262/

Another option would be a sliding barn door - you've probably seen those all over the place since they're so popular nowadays. Depending on your home decor style, you could go with the typical rustic barn door look or do something more modern & simple. Depending on how handy you guys are, you could probably DIY one for under $100. I've seen several tutorials on Pinterest & they don't seem too difficult.

I hope that helps & gives you some ideas! I can only imagine the stress of life with 2 boys, lol! I only have 1 & I keep telling myself that I have it easy now...it's only going to get more challenging once we have more kids! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
